Dude, you catch the new season of American Idol? "Yeah, been waiting so long!"
What'd you think of Obama's inauguration speech? "Man, it was amazing."
Hey, you check out that sweet new Vaio P that's coming out? "Huh, that Vonage thing?"
Story of my life. I've always liked electronics – not sure what it is about them, whether it was the futuristic designs, the myriad of buttons that helped you as long as you pushed all the right ones in the right order, or just the fact that I seemed to "get" them – whatever it was, nobody else I knew cared much for them. When they were all reading MAD magazine, I was buried in PC Magazine; while they shared jokes from the latest episode of Friends, I was off by myself thinking how cool it would be to have a tricorder.
Why can't I have friends who like this stuff too?
And that's the idea behind ZiggyTek, our new gadgets and electronics site – to provide us companionship-deprived tech heads with a community to connect and interact with others around our common interest. We'll give you the latest news and updates in the gadget world, tutorials on everything you wanted and didn't want to know, in-depth reviews on whatever we can get our hands on, and most of all, we give you a community to find others who actually care about refresh rate, or complain about why a Micro SD slot still isn't in every phone and mp3 player, or make fun of those people who thought the MacBook Wheel was for real.
So welcome to ZiggyTek – stick around, get updated, be a part of the community – you just might find what you've always been looking for!
